At the Turner Contemporary, the Governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, unveiled the design of the new £20 note featuring the artist JMW Turner. The Turner Contemporary and the Margate lighthouse are also depicted:

Banksy's 'Devolved Parliament' went under the hammer at Sotheby’s and sold for just under £9.9m - a record for the artist. The pre-auction estimate had been £1.5m-2m.
